Daniel was born in Lauterbach, Germany and he started his musical career by playing accordion at the age of eight. Two years later he began playing drums which immediately became his first priority. Lessons with local teachers like Elke Saller, Stefan Haus and Thomas Fischer made him a drum addict. As a teenager he gained a lot of experience by playing all kind of music: from Classic to Jazz, Ska and Reggae, Rock, Pop and Metal. Joining the FFA Drum Corps made him work a lot on his technical and rudimental skills. In 2000 they won the German-Marching-Champion-Ship and toured across Europe. After finishing school he went to Düsseldorf (DE) to study at the Drummer's Institute. During that time he found that drumming would be his life and that he wants to do that for a living. He worked hard and it should pay off: In 2002 he earned the third prize at the Best Young European Musician Competition in Koblenz (Jury: Bernhard Purdie, Steve Porcaro) and graduated the Drummer's Institute with honors! Within this year he moved to Mannheim (DE) to study Jazz at the renowned local University of music. In that first year in Mannheim Daniel auditioned for the Oriental-/World Music Star AFSHIN. This event should change his life. He got the job and started touring the world with AFSHIN and still is. Besides this main project he became a member of Blaze Beyleys (IRON MAIDEN) Band BLAZE for about 3Years. But as if this wouldn't be enough Daniel also played Jazz with the BuJazzO (Peter Herbolzheimer), Ro Gebhardt Trio or EJAZZOLATION, alternative rock with the Justin Nova Band and Channel#4 and was the drummer for the Saturday night TV Show SCHROEDER! (SWR, Germany). Additionally playing musicals or doing clinics made him busy like never before. Currently Daniel is a very versatile highly in-demand drummer and percussionist (Live and Studio) and is working with artists across Europe. Up 'til now Daniel toured in more than 30 countries, played concerts up to 25.000 people and recorded about 40 albums. He is writing workshops for the DRUMHEADS! Magazine and has also built himself a reputation as clinician/workshop/solo drummer. This made him appear at drum events like Dresdener Drumfestival (2010), Erzgebirgs Drumfestival (2008/2009), Ludwigsburger Trommeltage (2007), Beyerdynamic Drumday (2009), CMS Drumday (2010) and many more. In 2010 he played a successful clinic tour through Germany supporting drumming legend DAVE LOMBARDO! Artists Daniel worked (or still works) with
